The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat is the nerve centre of ASEAN, a regional inter-governmental organisation founded in 1967, to promote peace and stability, sustained economic growth, shared prosperity and social progress. Senior Officer Public Outreach & Civil Society
Requirements
  • At least six (6) years corporate communications experience covering journalism/media relations management, major regional/international events, and outreach activities through traditional and digital means in a regional/international/multilateral setting.
  • Postgraduate Degree in Mass/Public Communications, Journalism, Public/International Relations or related fields.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving, planning and the development of policies and procedures.
  • Experience in motivating staff and working effectively with people at all levels of the organisation. Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices.
  • Proven ability to conduct both formal and on the job training, and identify professional/technical development staff goal.
  • Possess a broad spectrum of interpersonal and communications skills, including excellent written and spoken English, in cross-cultural/international settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders and the media.
  • Competency in computer skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook where relevant to the position.
  • Excellent command of English, written and spoken. Proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.

Senior Officer Managing Project/ Activities AICHR Support Unit
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Degree or its equivalent in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, International Relations, Management, or other appropriate specialist discipline.
  • A minimum six (6) years high‐level experience in a relevant field, particularly related to a program of this nature in an intergovernmental institution, international organization or international consulting firm. Program development experience in human rights is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language, including significant experience in drafting and summarizing reports, writing concept papers, talking points, speeches and project proposals, and in moderating discussions and delivering presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving, planning and the development of programmes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated sound interpersonal skills (with high emotional quotient) including experience in cross cultural environment and international settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate staff and work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven track record in developing programmes, execution and finalization.
  • Proven experience in management of international teams of experts of differing technical background
  • Previous experience as a team leader
  • Previous experience as a manager and participation in multi-disciplinary projects
  • Experience in identifying training and professional/technical development needs of staff.
  • Experience in research and analysis of human rights issues
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices.
  • Proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
General Qualifications
  • Familiarity with diplomatic practices and protocol. Other required qualities are: computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools; ability to multi-task, work long and irregular hours, and perform outside the usual job scope; ability to function effectively independently and as part of a team; and a willingness to travel frequently on short notice.

Senior Officer Finance Integration Division
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Economics or Finance, preferably PhD.
  • Minimum six (6) years high-level experience in a recognised specialised field, particularly in the areas of economic and financial sector research and policy analysis.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of economic and financial sector issues, including the ability to apply economic concepts and tools in economic and policy analysis.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving, planning and the development of policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate staff and work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Familiarity with diplomatic practices and protocol
