PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) operates a coal mine in Sangatta East Kalimantan and is one of the largest export coal mines in the world. Opportunity exists for a seasoned, high caliber, professional to join the Company with job assignment in Sengata-East Kalimantan and, Opportunities exist for New Graduates (year of graduation: 2010-2012) to join KPC for the Following positions ::

Engineer Civil - East Kalimantan (Sangatta)
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate equipment and resources and recommend the most appropriate methode.
  • Investigate and analyse performance of existing operations or equipment with field studies; define performance parameters and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Compile initial drafts of CEA for major equipment purchases.
  • Prepare owner estimate cost for project and other. Owner estimate will use for project estimate, tender and price evaluate from contractor.
  • Cost control budget of project day per day.
  • Prepare, control and evaluate schedule of projects and prepare the summary report for this
  • Provide scope of work of project or contract and prepare all tender document.
  • Provide technical input for the preparation of tenders.
  • Develop junior engineers in project evaluation and reporting skills.
  • Coach contractors to do project for budget, resources, equipment and quality control of project.
  • Prepare CEA and CAMA document to support the project and activities.
  • Plan, Prepare and evaluate budget under Mine Civil and Contract.
  • Support technical, budget, work method advice to Supervisor Civil, dredge and pumps.
  • Calculate and design small project.
  • Plan and evaluate dredge and pump allocation to meet target of schedule and productivity.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on the result of civil work and problems encountered for the Superintendent in order that the civil works are monitored well.
  • Liase with suppliers for quotes and specifications and with pits/maintenance for user needs.
  • Compile PTBA report each quarter.
  • Conduct pit tours for visitors, suppliers, VIP’s etc.
Requirements
  • Graduate engineer Civil Engineering with 2 years experience in field work.
  • Analytical, problem solving skills (must be able to check result in at least two, preferably three, different ways).
  • Understands mine planning software and the performance measurement system that are used on site.

Coordinator Technical - East Kalimantan (Sangatta)
Responsibilities
  • Accept in house drawing request, determine handling priority, and distribute drafting work to Senior Design Draftsman and Draftsman.
  • Administer and manage the review of the drawings received from both internal & external parties (i.e. consultants, suppliers, contractors, inter department).
  • Apply engineering system design principles, standard and techniques in mechanical engineering situations.
  • Perform advance engineering measurements.
  • Apply computer aided modeling and data management techniques to manage the drawing and design registration and storage.
  • Manage the filing and storage of technical libraries (hard copies) and engineering measurement tools.
  • Identify, request, and coordinate survey jobs.
  • Coordinate the deployment of specialist for specific inspection as identified.
  • Supervise Senior Design Draftsman and Draftsman during drawing development to ensure drawings meets functional, quality, standards and time completion.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma 3 Mechanical/ Civil or other related discipline with 10 years working or S1 with 5 years experience as draftsman in project environment and/or bulk handling equipment and process, fluid handling equipment ie. piping & pipeline system. Experience in mining industry would be an advantage.
  • Conversant with AutoCad and drawing management system.
  • Good knowledge of survey and engineering measurement methods.
  • Conversant with engineering design standards.
  • Good understanding of design, fabrication and installation techniques.
  • Have high personal energy level and enthusiastic to work in a dynamic project environment.
  • Knowledge of project management activities.
  • Good Leadership & People Management skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team of professionals and equipment operators. Have analytical, problem solving skills together with aptitude to solve technical difficulties.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill (oral & written) in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Have a good knowledge of HSE policies (or equivalent), procedures and standards.

Senior Specialist General Training - East Kalimantan (Sangatta)
Responsibilities
  • Plan and oversee training and educational programs, services and activities.
  • Evaluate and analyze training needs.
  • Develop curricula, course outlines, instructional methods, training aids, and text materials; formulate learning objectives.
  • Monitor, evaluate, record and report training activities.
  • Identify long-range training goals; plan, develop, review, revise, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare budget for training programs.
  • Develop training contract specifications; search and recommend vendor to deliver training programs; negotiate with training vendors; evaluate service performed by training vendor.
  • Deliver soft-competency training courses and workshops to high presentation standards using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures.
  • Develop and use alternative learning methods if expected improvements are not seen.
  • Plan, design, and develop methods for the assessment and evaluation of training effectiveness; conduct evaluation of training effectiveness regularly.
  • Demonstrate and encourage acceptance and implementation of KPC HSE programs and practices.
  • Adhere to Section budget.
  • Determine improvement target; find inefficiency root causes; determine and implement action plan; measure results; standardize; and continue the same process to other costly or inefficient programs using continuous improvement methods.
Requirements
  • Considerable experience (as a guide, minimum 5 years) in training and/ or human resource development.
  • Bachelor’s (S1) degree in HR Management, Educational Institution, social sciences or other related disciplines
  • Instructional and facilitation skills.
  • Time management, analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of training procedures and techniques; of education principles, practices, and techniques; of group process, group dynamics, and interpersonal relations; and of instructional design and curriculum development
  • Interpersonal and communication skills in Bahasa and English.

Specialist Application System (Code: ERP) - East Kalimantan
Responsibilities
  • Analyze user’s requests for developing new requirements to ensure the existing systems can accommodate the needs.
  • Develop user’s requirements statements in details to formulate the application designs.
  • Design the applications based on the user’s requirements and taking into account the existing systems.
  • Develop the application programs using specific software tools relevant to the programming language.
  • Liaise with suppliers or consultants when the development of the applications required knowledge and resources beyond the current Company’s capabilities.
  • Test the developed application programs in the test environment to ensure no error.
  • Deploy the tested and error-free application programs in the production environment.
  • Monitor daily process to detect any errors or to prevent any predicted errors and take proper actions to ensure the application systems are in good operation at all times.
  • Investigate database problems reported by users to identify and troubleshoot the errors.
  • Administer the ERP applications to accommodate changes due to user movement and organization restructuring.
  • Test patches of new features and new software releases developed by vendors in the test environment to ensure the patches are suitable for the existing systems.
  • Ensure all data required for month-end and year-end processes are complete.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end processes to produce reports required by the Company’s Accounting department.
  • Maintain security of personnel and business data.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification (S1) in Information Technology, Commerce or others with 6 years experience in commercial computing environments encompassing integrated systems, PC knowledge, programming and business analysis.
  • It is desirable that the applicant possess a sound functional knowledge of the relevant Mincom Ellipse ERP modules (Finance Accounting, Operation Maintenance or Material Management).
  • Possess extensive experience and proven skills in IT management, preferably in the mining or oil and gas industry.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Well developed interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills in both English and Indonesian to liaise with KPC personnel and external suppliers and dealers.
  • Knowledge of Ellipse or similar systems would be a distinct advantage.

  • Registration and monitoring of document circulated in internal or external KPCfor approval and/or review.
  • Development and maintenance of contractual database such as contract value data, retention data, bond record, commercial info.
  • Preparing, inputting and maintenance of online Contract Administration data.
  • Involvement in improvement of tender and contract forms.
  • Development of report such as saving report, work load report, progress report, monthly report.
  • Development of report production tools such as spread sheet or other.
  • Supervision to Contract Officer(s).
