Consular Assistant - Surabaya
Basic Function of Position
- The position is one of six consular positions in a full service operation. The primary day-to-day job focus is on the provision of Non Immigrant Visa (NIV) services, and the job holder is regularly called up to perform other consular duties. The job holder is also a member of the fraud prevention team and is expected to be able to assist in the identification of potential fraud. The job holder is expected to provide full range of consular services in the absence of the senior consular assistant.

- Minimum two (2) years of post secondary education.
- Minimum 1 (one) year experience in administrative field, or in dealing with public; or at least one year experience as a visa or consular clerk is required.
- Level III (good working knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing in English and Level IV (fluent) in Bahasa Indonesia are required. Must be able to draft correspondence in English and Indonesia. Language proficiency will be tested.
- Must have standard knowledge of local culture, country and local government organization is required.
- Must be able to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with members of the public.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications. Must be able to use consular software and equipment.

Basic Function of Position
- The job holder is responsible for the storage and withdrawal of appliances at the warehouse. Assists Supply clerk in the day to day activities in moving appliances between warehouse and other locations. Performs other general warehouse function duties as requested by the Supervisor.

Basic Function of Position
- The incumbent of this position assists the Senior Locally Employed Staff for Housing to manage Real Property Management for all agencies under the International Cooperative Administrative Support Services (ICASS). The incumbent is responsible for locating suitable housing, non-residential and functional space for U.S. Government leases, including preliminary negotiations, lease agreements, amendments, and termination, as well as correspondence with landlords in all matters related to maintenance and repair of structural deficiencies of the buildings.

- At least three years of progressively experience in Real Estate Management, of which at least one year of experience in residential leasing is required.

- A good knowledge of local market conditions, pricing structures and the capabilities of potential Housing Agents, landlords and contractors is required.
- Must be able to judge quality of commodities available in relation to prices. Ability to coordinate renovation and maintenance of residential and non-residential in addition to that provided by the Embassy. Ability to apply governing Real Estate regulations and procedures to individual procurement and Lease Agreement Actions.
- Skills in evaluating, negotiating and persuading the capability of a contractor in terms of adequate productive facilities, current commitments, financial status, and the adequacy of supervision and management. Skill in determining the responsiveness of price and/or cost proposals through survey and analysis of cost elements.
