The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat is the nerve centre of ASEAN. ASEAN Secretariat, with the support of Australia under the ASEAN-Australia Cooperation for the Implementation of the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) Work Programme 2010-2015, is looking for the best, most-talented and highly-motivated ASEAN individuals to work as team members of the newly-established AHA Centre for the following positions :

Secretary External Economic Relations Division
Requirements
  • Completion of appropriate diploma, technical or other training relevant to the position and a minimum of four (4) years experiences in executive support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices.
  • Competent level of oral and written communication skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings.
  • Competency in computer skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook where relevant to the position.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of matters related to work place.
  • Familiarity with protocol matters.
  • Competent command of English, written, and spoken.
General Qualifications
  • Familiarity with diplomatic practices and protocol. Other required qualities are: computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools; ability to multi‐task, work long and irregular hours, and perform outside the usual job scope; ability to function effectively independently and as part of a team; and a willingness to travel on short notice.
  • Salary: Starting from IDR 2,000,000.

Technical Officer Agriculture Industries and Natural Resources
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in forestry or related field from a reputable university;
  • A minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in technical role;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and policy, research and technical skills in the relevant area and ability to acquire them;
  • Proven skills in problem solving in a complex organisational environment and in work planning;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, monitor and review policy and procedures;
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines;
  • Good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices;
  • Sound command of English, written and spoken.
General Qualifications

Technical Officer Internal Audit
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting/ Finance.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in Audit/ Accounting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, principles, standards of Audit and technical skills in the relevant area and ability to acquire them.
  • Proven skills in problem solving in a complex organisational environment and in work planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, monitor and review policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.

  • Bachelor degree in Transport Planning, Economics/ Science or an appropriate related field or discipline that can support the work on international and regional transport cooperation
  • Minimum five (5) years relevant work experience in technical role/ area related to transport.
  • Basic understanding of transport planning and cooperation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and policy, research and technical skills in the relevant area and ability to acquire them.
